The story

The story behind Elysian by Davs

I’ve always believed that a painting can say things words sometimes can’t. For me, every blank canvas is a chance to slow down, breathe, and turn a feeling, a memory, or a fleeting moment into something that lasts. Painting has become my quiet place, a space where I can create with my heart and leave a little piece of myself in every brushstroke.

When it came to naming this journey, I wanted something that reflected not just my art, but the feeling I hope it leaves behind.

Elysian

means beautiful, peaceful, and blissful. A feeling of calm, a little escape from the rush of everyday life.

That’s what I want my paintings to be.

‘by Davs’ is me. It’s my hand, my colours, my late nights with a brush and a blank canvas. Every piece is hand painted with intention, patience, and a little piece of my heart.

Davs, painter, maker and quiet romantic

Davs is a self taught artist working from a light filled home studio. Her days move between a loaded brush and a wheel of wet clay, chasing the moment a piece stops being an idea and starts to breathe.

Her work is unhurried and deeply personal: landscapes remembered rather than copied, portraits that hold a feeling, and crafts made to be used and loved. She believes art belongs in everyday life, not behind glass.
